If you own your primary or secondary residence, there is generally no problem establishing your company's registered office there. However, be aware of any condominium or housing development regulations, which may prohibit businesses. These prohibitions are intended to prevent noise and the constant flow of customers. If your registered office does not cause noise or visual pollution (such as stockpiles in your yard), then the spirit of the regulations will be respected.

You can even rent out part of your primary or secondary residence to your business. This income will be taxed personally as rental income. However, this rent will be deductible from your business's taxable income.

If you do not own your main residence: you need the owner's agreement, including for subletting part of the premises to your company.

In both cases, you will need to update your premises insurance contract.

In a registered office company:

A business address provider's business is to offer you an address for your company's headquarters.

It is a service company approved by the Prefecture.

She receives and forwards your mail. She holds telephone office hours and provides premises.

Note: To benefit from the tax advantages of certain geographical zones (e.g., French Regional Registered Offices, French Southern and Antarctic Lands), the registered office must be located within that zone. This is very rarely the case for registered office providers.
